... in summer evenings

The cross on a church roof on a summer evening

For me there is some sort of perfect balance to be had in quiet times, spent on my own, and good chats with close friends and family. Sprinkled in there somewhere are larger social occasions, and those should only happen in very small doses!

One of the lovely things about our recent warm weather and longer evenings was the opportunity for evening walks with some of the people I am closest to.

This gives me a sense of peace in my soul, which I could not be more grateful for. Not that everything in my life or their's is perfect, but a chance to talk things through, breathe in the cool breeze, watch the sun's last rays for the day and listen for that still small voice of calm that is God calling us.
