Work, Worship and Wholeness
We all work at some stage in our lives. Whether it be paid or unpaid, undertaken enthusiastically or grudgingly, carried out with others or on our own, there are periods in our lives, often prolonged, when we have to labour at something in order to create, to achieve or simply to earn what we need in order to be able to provide for ourselves or others.
We are also all, whether we recognise it or not, spiritual beings as we seek fulfilment and purpose in our lives and one definition describes spirituality as ‘the experience of conscious involvement in the project of life-integration’ (Sandra Schneiders).
Our workshop will seek to integrate both these fundamentals, drawing on Scripture and a range of writers to bring together our work and our worship (our spirituality) for the mutual enriching of each and the wholeness of the person.
